Nina Beall: New Paintings – Painter Nina Beall was born and raised in East Texas. When she went off to art school in Chicago, she developed a hankering for the Texas landscape. Now she has won an NEA grant, lives in Houston and paints passionately expressionistic scenes of her stomping grounds. Sometimes she squeezes acrylic paint right out of the tube onto the canvas and paints with a cake decorator. A show of eight of her new paintings opens 6-8 p.m. at Parkerson Gallery, 510 Lake St., 524-4945. (J.L.)
